I really have to decide what to do about these files.. I can't leave them on the Palm indefinitely, and I'm not sure I want them loose on the computer, either. Nor do I think I can bring myself to print them - maybe. that may be the best option. Anyway, it's something else to think about. [Today I discovered blogger.com, so I've put up the last few days - at least I know what to do with the journal files now!]
Well, Monday's list was a bit of a dud. I didn't get the folding done, or the invoices/status reports. When I got back from the shopping there were puppies to feed & clean, more washing to hand and bring in, then, the next thing I knew, it was time to cook tea (didn't come off like I thought it would - I have to do it again). Then my son (PA) to his guitar lesson - I seriously vegged while waiting for him - then back to the dishes and more washing going in both directions, then puppy stuff again. I crashed at about 10.45 - beyond even reading.
Woke up yesterday morning running at about 25% (possibly less). I could barely get out of my own way the whole day. In the morning we were at the Hospital for an appointment with my daughter's Psychiatrist - from 9.30am until about 11.45am. She was in a filthy mood and didn't want to go. DH was in a filthy mood and was being bloody minded. I just felt absolutely drained and exhausted. After that we dropped her at school, then went to Northcote Plaza to get stuff for dinner. But I had DH with me didn't I.. so we went to cash converters, and clints, and K-Mart as well as the supermarket. All I wanted to do was get what we came for and GO HOME. I was so drained. We took AGES. I was not in good shape, and it wasn't until my daughter (SS) came home and we started 6 Christmas cakes (four for this year, two for next) that I began to pick up. She was actually a pleasant and lively companion for all the weighing, grating, juicing etc that had to be done. Now we have six jars of soaking fruit - we'll have to cook the first one next week - very late but, there you go.
We had fights between Spike (our 20 month old male dog) and his father (Rani - 5 years old) on and off last night. mostly sparring, but I don't know what has set them off. Neither bitch is even close to coming in season; and their behaviour worries me around the puppies. I was so tired, I think I was on a sort of autopilot, but I still didn't get the bloody washing folded.
So to this morning. I finally folded all that washing I did on Monday. Now all I have to do is iron....
I'm planning to do that in front of the tv tonight. I've been hunting on the net for a webcast of the total eclipse at Ceduna - but the only site I could find wouldn't load. Bit of a bugger really. We only have a partial eclipse here. I remember the total eclipse that went over Melbourne in October 1976 - way more spectacular than a partial. Oh well.
I'm coping quite well at the moment, as long as I don't think too hard about my marriage, or how a 13 year old girl can get so depressed that she just swallows 30 of anything to try to 'feel better'. That's it. I'm finished.

...At a Different Cafe - One near the Supermarket
Well, my list for Friday night was OK, except for the washing. Mum in fact arrived about 15mins after I got home, so it was cut quite close. Saturday was written off (cos of Cranbourne & the kelpies), and Sunday followed suit (cos of lunch at the in-laws). However, after Church I seemed to spring back a tiny bit. I walked to the supermarket (about 4km return) to buy dishwasher detergent, then at home I got my son onto the dishes (his job - not done cos we had no dishwasher detergent....) while I cleaned up our bedroom and the ensuite, and sorted the washing in the laundry (as well as getting several loads hung). This had the desired effect, so that this morning I almost leapt out of bed and have been on the go ever since. I've done 7 loads of washing (4 are hung), done a thorough vacuum (including the bedroom), and steamed the problem areas. I even moved the shoe cupboard to deal with that particular problem. So far it's been a rather productive morning. Now I'm out to buy puppy food (something else I forgot when I shopped on Saturday night), and the makings for the christmas cakes - I have to make FOUR this year. So while I'm here I'm taking my time and playing truant for a few minutes.
This afternoon I want to finish cleaning the kitchen, fold the clean washing and send Status Reports & an invoices to our major client. I'm also making a test run of the Christmas entree for dinner tonight (smoked salmon layered with grilled veggies & mignon lettuce leaves, dressed with extra virgin olive oil and capers). It's a full list, and if pressed the folding will have to wait.
Otherwise, things have been mercifully bland. I guess that's all I really want, Just a quiet life - absolutely NO excitement. I don't understand people who crave it.
Enough for now - I really do have a lot to do.
